Alice Bouman appointed Resort Manager of Four Seasons Resort Lanai

Bouman, a 15-year veteran of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, has worked in management positions throughout North America, Europe and China. She makes the move to Hawaii from Four Seasons Hotel St. Louis, where she served as director of rooms for the 200-room hotel. Prior to St. Louis, Bouman was with Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore Santa Barbara in various roles including director of housekeeping, assistant director of rooms and director of rooms. Her past experience also includes appointments in Houston, Texas; London, England; Beijing, China; Paris, France; and Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

“Alice is a great addition to the Lana’i ohana,” says Tom Roelens, general manager of Four Seasons Resorts Lana’i. “Her exceptional guest service and wealth of operational experience make her the ideal leader for The Lodge at Koele.”

A native of the Netherlands, Bouman is a graduate of Hoge Hotelschool Maastricht, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and Hotel Management, with a specialty degree in Marketing. She lives in Lana’i City and enjoys spending time with family, travelling and hiking. In addition, she enjoys collecting organic and nutritional recipes from Four Seasons chefs to support sustainability and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Her brother, who recently lost more than 300 pounds on Holland’s Extreme Makeover Weightloss Edition, has been her inspiration and she looks forward to experiencing Lana’i's many adventurous offerings to stay active, which includes running after her black lab/spaniel mix Shadow on the island’s many white-sand beaches.
