Vueling launches new route from London Luton to Florence

Vueling has launched its first flight between London Luton Airport and Florence.

The route will operate three times a week, with over 22,700 seats available during the 2017 summer season.

A member of the International Airlines Group, Vueling has also increased the capacity on its route from LLA to Barcelona by 34 per cent and its Amsterdam route by 12 per cent.

The airline will operate two daily flights on each route, with over 160,000 seats available.

Vueling operates from eight airports in the UK and Ireland, including Manchester, Birmingham, Cardiff, Edinburgh, and Dublin, as well as London’s Gatwick and Heathrow.

The airline will offer a total of 29 routes and more than two million seats from these airports during summer 2017, an eight per cent increase from the summer season of 2016.

LLA is currently undergoing the single biggest investment in its history, to increase annual capacity by 50 per cent by 2020.

A central part of the transformation project is increasing the amount of routes available to passengers.

Simon Harley, London Luton Airline development manager said: “We are delighted that Vueling is adding a new route to Florence.

“Its great news for our passengers and a further sign of how, together with our partners, we are transforming LLA and ensuring we’re offering a great range of destinations.”
