Kayak.co.uk has unveiled a restyled homepage, which has been designed to provide a more intuitive and user-friendly experience.
This is in response to the increasing number of people using tablets and mobile devices to search for flights, hotels, car hire or holiday packages, as highlighted in a recent study which revealed that nearly one sixth of traffic to hotel websites worldwide came from mobile devices.
“We have remodelled our website in order to make it simpler, easier-to-use and more in-line with an intuitive mobile app experience,” said Kayak UK managing director, Annie Wilson.
“We optimised the Kayak search interface and improved results generation and booking efficiency, in order to meet the expectations of a new generation of internet users.”
Instead of dividing the search fields into three lines, the entire Kayak search bar has now been consolidated in a single line.
The new improvements have been implemented across all Kayak products: Hotels, Flights, Car Rentals and Holidays.
“Our website’s new sleek and straightforward design means we meet the needs of all KAYAK.co.uk users, who are increasingly using multiple devices for travel searches. With over 25 million downloads, the success of our mobile and tablet apps fully reflects this trend,” concluded Wilson.
