A new television advert from the travel search engine Kayak that explores the exciting world of the sound of travel will make its debut on UK television from Boxing Day.

British Airways has launched a New Distribution Capability alongside travel search engine KAYAK. KAYAK is integrating British Airways in its facilitated booking path by using the British Airways developed NDC. This will enable customers to have a better booking experience by directly booking British Airways flights through KAYAK websites.
Travel search engine KAYAK.co.uk has revamped its Airlines pages, providing travellers with more comprehensive insight on flying with airlines worldwide, all in one place. This enhancement includes, along with flight status and airline information, a list showing the frequency of certain flight routes served throughout the week and a section to find and track flights live on a map from one airport to another.
Travel search engine, KAYAK, has launched a new app for the Apple Watch making managing trips as easy as checking the time. Wearers now have a personal trip assistant right on their wrist; giving them quick access to their travel information. With just a swift swipe of the watch face, KAYAK glance view provides instant access to the travel itinerary.
Analysis put together by Kayak.co.uk has shown that half of hotel bookings on its app are booked within 48 hours of the hotel stay, compared to just 15 per cent on a tablet device globally. London is the most searched destination by British travellers on the APP for last minute hotels booking. Change in consumer activity has led Kayak to extend their app to include a tool called ‘Hotel for Tonight’, available on Android app version 8.0 and will be available for iOS in March 2015.
Under 35 year olds severely under-index in airline and hotel app usage but over-index on OTAs, according to the latest Travel Demographics Report Series published by Strategy Analytics Travel Analytics service,
Kayak.co.uk has unveiled a restyled homepage, which has been designed to provide a more intuitive and user-friendly experience. This is in response to the increasing number of people using tablets and mobile devices to search for flights, hotels, car hire or holiday packages, as highlighted in a recent study which revealed that nearly one sixth of traffic to hotel websites worldwide came from mobile devices.
