In the spirit of giving, Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong once again directs efforts to raise money for charity this festive season. Hosting its first Christmas gourmet and gift reception, the Hotel announces the beneficiary of its fundraising efforts will be Hong Kong Cancer Fund. In partnership with and co-sponsored by American Express, the Hotel’s annual tree lighting ceremony will take place on Thursday November 29, 2012, followed by “A Taste of Christmas.”
Kicking off the festive season, the tree lighting ceremony will take place from 6:30 pm, where guests can attend and witness the lighting of the main Christmas tree. Guests are invited with compliments to enjoy mulled wine and hot chocolate while listening to carols by Grace Notes - the all-female a capella group within the Hong Kong Women’s Choir.
“A Taste of Christmas” follows, taking place in the Harbour View Ballroom on podium level 4 from 6:45 until 9:00 pm. The ballroom will be transformed into a Christmas wonderland for guests to don their finest festive attire and experience seasonal edibles, purchase gifts and prepare for the holidays ahead, all with the central goal of raising money for charity. With the aroma of cinnamon and pine trees in the air, guests will be invited to make a silent bid on Christmas trees by BeauMonde; dine on mince pies, foie gras and festive delicacies; sip mulled wine and warm apple cider; and shop at exclusive stalls for unique Christmas gifts. Guests will be able to order bespoke stationery gifts from the Queen of England’s official stationer The Wren Press; purchase elegant clutches and handbags by Kotur; find the perfect jewellery gift from David Yurman; select luxurious cashmere pieces by IS Cashmere; buy children’s toys from Wise Kids; and place orders for the Hotel’s signature gift items, Spa certificates, gourmet food hampers, Chef Chan Yan Tak’s famed XO Sauce, and more.
Making his second annual appearance, Charlie Bear returns as Four Seasons festive charity mascot and is available for purchase from the Boutique from November 29 until December 31, 2012. The proceeds from each sale of Charlie Bear will go directly to the Hong Kong Cancer Fund.
Tickets for “A Taste of Christmas” are available from the Festive Desk in the lobby of Four Seasons. American Express Centurion members can exclusively purchase these tickets with the Card through The Centurion Service before November 21, 2012. One hundred percent of the ticket sales will be donated to the charity along with ten percent of all stall sales during the event.
