Following the success of its debut last year, One&Only One Za’abeel has unveiled the second edition of AMASSI by Moroccan French designer, Selma Benomar.

The region’s haute couture–inspired Ramadan tent is where artistry, cultural heritage and contemporary luxury come together.

Named after the Arabic word meaning “the time from afternoon to sunset or midnight,” AMASSI has established a distinctive place in Dubai’s Ramadan landscape.

Recommissioned for the second consecutive year, AMASSI returns with an evolved vision led by Caftan designer Selma Benomar, renowned for her modern interpretations of Moroccan heritage.

Benomar reimagines the tent as a continuation of her design practice, translating the techniques and hand-applied detail found in her collections into an immersive interior experience.

“For this year’s AMASSI by Selma Benomar Ramadan tent, I wanted the space to feel like a continuation of my work.

“The idea was to bring the same craftsmanship, techniques, and attention to detail that go into a couture piece and translate them into the walls of the tent,” says Benomar.

At the heart of the space is a fully embroidered feature wall inspired by nature.

Flowers, birds, and butterflies appear to grow and move across its surface, echoing the way embroidery comes to life on the fabric.

Built in layers, create depth, softness, and texture while reflecting time, handwork, and the quiet beauty of things made slowly, a sentiment deeply connected to the spirit of Ramadan.

The surrounding walls are hand-sculpted in gypsum, inspired by floral couture appliqués and three-dimensional embroidery techniques.

Patterns rise and fall across the surfaces, creating movement and warmth. Each element is shaped by hand, allowing the space to feel alive and intimate.

By bringing couture techniques into interior design, AMASSI becomes more than a Ramadan tent, it becomes an atmosphere where craftsmanship, heritage, and modern design come together naturally, creating a setting that feels culturally rooted and contemporary.

Celebrating One&Only One Za’abeel’s connection to fashion and culture, AMASSI continues to embody the resort’s spirit of innovation and refined luxury.
