Premier Inn Acquires Property Adjacent to the Olympic Stadium

Premier Inn, owned by Whitbread PLC, the UK’s largest hotel and restaurant group, has announced its latest site acquisition for a new 267-bedroom budget hotel at Stratford, located adjacent to the Olympic Stadium, investing some GBP25m and creating approximately 90 jobs.

Premier Inn will be opening four new hotels at London’s main airports from Autumn 2011. The budget hotel chain will open two hotels at Heathrow and one at Gatwick and one at Stansted, creating a total of 1,570 new rooms. Premier Inn is spending more than £125 million on the developments.

Premier Inn expands into Oman

The UK’s largest hotel brand, Premier Inn, is continuing its international expansion by signed a joint venture to roll out its mid-market chain across Oman.The agreement marks the beginning of a strategic partnership with the Sultan of Oman and Premier Inn Hotels, a joint venture between Premier Inn and The Emirates Group, under which Premier Inn plans to open three hotels in the country in 2010.
