Four Seasons Resort Vail supports Colorado wildfire victims

Four Seasons Resort Vail staff members recently supported the relief effort for Colorado wildfire victims by donating to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund and extending a lodging discount to fire evacuees.

“Our compassionate staff raised USD 1,150.00 through departmental donations and an Independence Day lemonade stand,” commented Mark Herron, general manager of the Resort. “Additionally, we extended a hotel discount to those who lost their homes or were evacuated.”

Based on claims filed at the High Park Fire in Larimer County and the Waldo Canyon Fire in Colorado Springs, insurers estimate that wildfires caused at least USD 449.7 million in property damage (Rocky Mountain Insurance Information Association).

The High Park Fire burned more than 87,000 acres and now ranks as the second largest wildfire in Colorado history
