Plans to add 20 new hotels Marriott hotels in Turkey by 2025
Marriott International has revealed plans to expand its presence in Turkey, aiming to add over 20 properties and nearly 3,000 rooms by the close of 2025.
During a recent visit, Marriott’s president and CEO, Anthony Capuano, said the plans will create numerous job opportunities in the travel and hospitality sector.
With a history of operations in Turkey spanning four decades, Marriott currently boasts a portfolio of more than 50 properties across seven cities and 20 brands.
Capuano said: “Turkey is a sought-after destination with its rich culture and heritage, natural landscapes, breadth of travel experiences and authentic hospitality. Marriott International is proud to have the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing growth and diversification of the country’s travel sector through our longstanding presence and robust growth plans in the market.”
He also announced plans for a dedicated program in collaboration with a hospitality school to provide students with practical training and work experience at Marriott properties in the country.

Marriott has also launched its Female Leadership Initiative, which aims to empower women leaders with tailored development programs.
Which Marriott brands are heading to Turkey?
Marriott’s expansion plans in Turkey encompass properties across all brand segments, including luxury, premium, select, and midscale. The company recently introduced the Four Points Express by Sheraton brand in response to growing demand for reliable yet affordable accommodation in the region. Turkey is poised to become a key market for this brand, with plans for additional properties in Ankara, Antalya, and Istanbul.
In the premium segment, Marriott is set to debut Moxy Hotels in Turkey, along with expansions of AC Hotels, Aloft Hotels, and Residence Inn by Marriott. The company also has plans to introduce its first properties in Cappadocia and Usak under the Marriott and Sheraton brands.
In the luxury segment, Marriott will add the Legacy Ottoman, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Istanbul, in 2025, following the recent opening of Sanasaryan Han, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Istanbul.
