Travelport, the business services provider to the global travel industry, recently brought together some of the greatest talents in Russian travel technology to take part in the inaugural Travelport Developer Days. More than 75 participants, representing 50 companies, attended the sessions, which included presentations on the Internet Booking Engine (IBE) opportunity in Russia, Travelport’s Developer Network™ and Universal API™, and case studies from leading developers.
All areas of travel technology were represented with attendees from in-house OTA development teams, individual third party developers, travel agencies and corporate travel agencies.
Danil Fomenko, CIO from Mute Lab said: “This was a hugely valuable event for me to attend and I’m very pleased to see Travelport taking the lead in this important, growing area. The insights that were shared, as well as the products from Travelport, have given my company a great advantage for the future”.
“We were delighted to see such a good response from the development community in Russia,” commented Maria Yakushkina, Country Manager Russia, Travelport. “By bringing together the people that are helping shape the travel technology landscape in Russia, we have provided a great platform for collaboration, and demonstrated the advanced, open platform from Travelport”.
