Indian summer awakens the senses at Four Seasons Hong Kong

An Indian Summer awakens the senses in Hong Kong this year with a visiting chef and spa therapists at Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong from September 16 to September 25, 2011.

A Taste of India

Flying in from Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai, Chef Vikram Arora will present Indian specialties at The Lounge in an à la carte menu from 6:00 to 11:30 pm throughout the promotion. As Indian Chef de Cuisine at the Hotel’s acclaimed and eclectic San-Qi restaurant, Arora brings his unique style of traditional Indian cuisine to Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong.

Appetisers on Chef Arora’s menu* range from the well-loved onion bhajia and lamb samosa to the more unusual murg ke taj (seared cardamom flavoured chicken minces with crushed black pepper). With no shortage of flavours and bringing inspiration from the western coast of India with him, Arora serves a main course menu of paneer matar mushroom ki bhujia (cottage cheese with green peas and mushrooms), prawn chilli khada masala (prawns simmered in spicy onion and tomato gravy) and the famed Goan fish curry (mackerel cooked with coconut and Goan spices). His dessert selection is equally as enticing with paan ice cream (homemade ice cream with fennel seeds and dried rose petals) and jalebi (crispy fried fritters soaked in saffron syrup).

A Touch of India

Making the same trip across Asia to the Far East, two spa therapists from Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai will offer a sublime collection of Indian therapies in the Spa at Four Seasons. In one of the two VIP suites, which will be transformed to reflect the orient, guests will be transported through Ayurvedic treatments to a holistic state of calm. As the fast-paced, hedonistic lifestyle of Hong Kong dictates, holidays and sleep are somewhat hard to find but India is coming to rescue.

Guests can choose* from an authentic, 30-minute Indian Head Massage, an ancient Shirodhara (Indian third-eye treatment) to an Abhyanga Massage or the Age Defying Firming Facial to help discover the secrets of well-being, from the home of healing.

All guests experiencing A Taste of India or A Touch of India will be invited to enter a prize draw to win a trip to Mumbai, including round trip tickets from Hong Kong for two people courtesy of Jet Airways and a two-night weekend stay at Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai, including breakfast, a 60 minute spa treatment each and dinner for two in San-Qi.

As the Hong Kong summer comes to a glorious end, An Indian Summer arrives.
