Four Seasons Palm Beach appoints Peter Burwash to direct Tennis Program

Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach has announced that it will partner with Peter Burwash International (PBI) to direct a new tennis program for the property beginning October 1, 2011. PBI will coordinate instructional programs and tennis activities for the Resort’s two har-tru tennis courts including instruction, junior tennis, and tournaments. PBI will also oversee the pro shop to offer the latest tennis equipment and apparel.

“We chose PBI for their experience and expertise in providing world-class personalised tennis instruction and activities for luxury resorts,” says General Manager Colin Clark. “We are confident PBI will bring a new dimension of excitement and quality to our guest activities at Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach.”

PBI has named Richard Brown as the Resort’s tennis professional. He comes to Palm Beach from East Hampton Indoor Tennis where he headed the tennis program. His experience also includes playing in the professional circuit and leading programs at some of the America’s finest resorts. Brown will introduce PBI’s widely acclaimed Tennis for Life® program featuring highly personalised private and group instruction, junior tennis, social tennis mixers, drill workouts and player matching. All guests playing tennis at Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach will be included in PBI’s “Player Notebook,” a continuity program that records summaries of previous lessons and guests’ personal tennis preferences for return visits to the Resort or at other PBI tennis destinations, including many Four Seasons hotels and resorts.
