Luxury hotels know how to pamper their guests. That’s their business. But few cater to the car seat set better than Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, going out of the way to make kids feel like VIPs.
Known for its outstanding level of service, Four Seasons has recently launched several programs at its 86 properties catering specifically to families, while also bolstering its own Have Family Will Travel blog with a new series of “parents’ insider guide to family travel” features.
Parents will appreciate the Kids for All Seasons Program, which provides complimentary childcare at Four Seasons resorts as well as most Four Seasons hotels. Each property offers different recreational, creative and educational activities, from treasure hunts and canoe lessons to turtle watch beach walks. No reservations are required, and childcare is available throughout the course of the day.
While Kids for All Seasons is offered at most of the company’s 86 properties, there are certainly one-of-a-kind offerings at various hotels and resorts, each emulating the local culture:
Scaredy-cats should step away: Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North works with the Phoenix Herpetological Society to bring in rescued animals throughout the Valley, allowing children to get up-close-and-personal and learn about a 20-foot python, a water monitor, an alligator and several different types of snakes and lizards.
This summer (May 28 to September 3), Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica at Peninsula Papagayo is offering a special Camp Papagayo for kids. On the fun roster: learning Spanish, touring volcanoes and national parks, spotting monkeys and exotic birds, surfing, and ziplining through the tropical forest.
Get up close with the monkeys at Four Seasons Resort Langkawi, Malaysia. Children enjoy a safari on a boat through the mangrove wetlands with the Resort’s naturalist, Swamp Skipper.
For the child who likes to be outdoors, kids at Four Seasons Resort Jackson Hole can create their own trail mix to take along on hikes. In the summer, the property offers Four Seasons Explorer Backpacks, full of fun activities and items such as a compass, binoculars, sun photo paper, exploration boxes and more. Kids can even take their backpacks home.
It’s all about turtles at Four Seasons Resort Nevis. During turtle nesting season, children can adopt their own sea turtles, then track their movements back home via GPS. In addition, the Resort offers turtle watch beach walks and turtle tales under the trees.
Guests of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts traveling as a family this summer will save additionally with seasonal offers. For example, Four Seasons Resort Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt offers a Young Family Escape Package, including a complimentary upgrade to a two-bedroom suite and round-trip airport transfers, while Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane includes two deluxe rooms for parents and the kids, as well as daily English breakfast as part of its Family Moments Package. In addition, children under age 5 receive complimentary meals across the company’s 86 properties.
