Dubai Customs launched “Cadre” during Fakhr Furda event

Dubai Customs launched a new initiative directed to its staff under the name “Cadre” in order to foster means of interaction and communication with all employees and realize the department’s goals for this year in building and developing the human resource competencies and develop their leadership skills.

The launch of the new initiative took place in the “Fakhr Al Furdha” ceremony which Dubai Customs held in Jumeira Zabeel Saray Hotel in Dubai last Wednesday 16 March. 129 employees under 11 different categories were honored including 25 inspectors from different customs centers, and 11 divisions, managements, projects, and work teams.

HE added in a speech he delivered during the event that:” The achievements realized by the department in the last period weren’t the outcome of individual effort; rather it was the fruit of the collective efforts of the department’s employees.

“We, in Dubai Customs are one big family with one common goal; and we all share the happy time of achievements. This is why we invest our time here to enthuse you to do even better in the future and give you the opportunity to gain the most from continuous training courses available in the department”. He added

HE thanked the employees on their performance, specially those who couldn’t attend the event because they work in distant sea, air, and land customs outlets and contribute in protecting the country and developing its economy.

Fahad Hamad Bin Fahad, Executive Director HR, Finance & Administration Division in Dubai Customs said that the initiative of “Cadre” serves as state of the art umbrella that covers all the department’s HR axes and objectives. It is a program that is expected to increase interaction and communication amongst employees.

Mr. Fahd thanked all the department’s employees for their relentless and selfless efforts through the year. He confirmed that the DC will always keep its promises of taking care of its employees and helping them do their work in healthy work environment.

The Cargo and Shipping Division was awarded as the division that obtained the highest level of employee satisfaction Inspection Center at Cargo Village and Hamria customer service center were honored as the best customer service centers. Social responsibility award team and suggestion department team received award as the best work teams in the department.

The event included a show presented by Dubai Customs inspectors and an artistic attraction performed by the French artist Louk who drew features of Dubai on sand. The audience also enjoyed watching a documentary on the most important achievements of Dubai Customs in the human resource field and means to develop it.
