Tourism marketing professional Pamela Bonin joins ASTA

ASTA has announced that Pamela Bonin has been hired to the position of director, Market Development, for the Society. As part of her new job, Bonin will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing ASTA’s membership marketing efforts, as well as working with key and prospective ASTA partners in order to develop stronger and more strategic relationships.

“We are thrilled to have Pam join our marketing team. Her experience and commitment will be an asset to ASTA as we look to strengthen our market position and provide exceptional value to our members and partners,” said Cheryl Ahearn, ASTA’s senior vice president of Market Development.

“It’s really an exciting time to be in travel and to have the chance to strengthen ASTA’s market share and influence throughout the industry,” Bonin said. “I am excited to have an opportunity to bring my skills and enthusiasm to work for such an important organization.” 

Bonin, a marketing professional with seven years of management experience in the hospitality and tourism industries, has built successful sales, marketing and events programs for the largest winery in the Eastern United States.  While always focusing on the customer experience and building meaningful relationships, she was awarded Front Line Employee of the Year at the 2008 Bloomington, Indiana Hospitality Awards. Dedicated to networking, professional development and community involvement, she also was appointed to the Steering Committee for hYPe, Helping Young Professionals Excel.

Bonin received her Bachelor’s of Science in Marketing from Indiana University-Kelley School of Business. An ardent advocate for training in CPR and the use of automated external defibrillators, she also counts wine, travel, brewing and running among her interests.
