T. Yermegiyayev has reported to Head of state on progress of preparation to hold the international specialised exhibition “EXPO-2017” in Astana, as well as on plans for the current year, Akorda press service reports.   

Nursultan Nazarbayev has emphasised the importance of involving national companies to construction of projects. 

“Building of major complexes of “EXPO-2017” should be used for development of small and medium-sized businesses. Foremost, it is necessary to attract Kazakhstani construction companies that meet the quality level. Construction materials also should be Kazakhstani which enables the domestic business to work. At that, there should be quality control and relevant specialists. Large companies of our country are implementing the dual training program. It is necessary to have a look at their experience and develop a similar program – to select the youth, train them and prepare specialists for the work in the course of preparation and carrying out “EXPO-2017”. We have to involve specialists and companies from all regions of Kazakhstan. I am repeating once again that in future all projects shall be used for the benefit of the people and the capital” – said the President of Kazakhstan. 
The Head of state has mentioned the possibility of establishing Energy institute jointly with Nazarbayev University.

“This scientific institution will be engaged in exploring new energy sources. We should convoke the experience of foreign countries and create opportunity for its analysis in a lab environment. I am already receiving designs for development of various types of energy. They should be considered for the purpose of implementation” – accentuated the Head of state. 

The president of the board of JSC “NC “Astana EXPO-2017” has informed that in 2014 it has been planned to start the construction and receive an official flag of the Bureau of international exhibitions. 

“In December 2013 all registration procedures related to carrying out the exhibition were completed. Currently all issues are being addressed monthly at government commissions. For today, the work is carried out according to the activity timetable, there are no breakdowns and underruns. Start of construction of projects under the exhibition is planned for April of the current year” – said T. Yermegiyayev. 

On results of the meeting the Head of state has given a number of tasks on considered issues.
