Record hotel rates during Milan Expo 2015
According to an analysis by STR Global, hotels in Milan, Italy, reported record-breaking performance in October and significant performance increases across the six months of Expo Milano 2015. Aggregated data for Milan from May through October showed a 51.1 per cent lift in revenue per available room when compared with the same six months from 2014.

Expo Milano 2015 sells nearly 14m tickets to date
Officials at Expo Milano 2015 have revealed some 13,784,308 tickets to the event had been sold by August 31st. Meanwhile, August itself ended with more than 3.3 million admissions, bringing the total admissions to 12.2 million since the opening of the universal exposition.

Air Astana signs on as Expo 2017 partner
Astana EXPO 2017 has signed a memorandum of cooperation with Air Astana, Kazakhstan’s flag carrier, to become a partner in the exhibition. Under the deal the airline will hold the exclusive status of Official Air Carrier of EXPO 2017. The official signing ceremony was held in Astana earlier, with the signatories being Astana EXPO 2017 chairman, Akhmetzhan Yesimov, and Air Astana president, Peter Foster.

Expo Milano sees six million guests in first two months
The Expo Milan entry system has registered around 6.1 million entrances during the first two months of which 15 per cent with the evening entrance ticket, with many more expected before the end of October.

Russian president Vladimir Putin visits Expo 2015 in Milan
