The Feversham Arms Hotel in Helmsley, North Yorkshire has announce two exciting new developments this Spring taking place at the Verbena Spa.

The appointment of Alex Jones as Spa Director, Jones previously managed the Titanic Spa in Huddersfield where she headed a team of 30 therapists and prior to that was Business Development Consultant for leading skincare brand Dermalogica.

She will manage a team of 20 staff in her new position and continue to grow the business by innovating new treatments, including the launch of a new range of Verbena Spa treatments this Spring along with a wider selection of pregnancy treatments.

To coincide with the appointment of Alex jones, a new Spa menu has also been launched designed by Food and Beverage Director, Chris Staines. The refreshed Spa menu includes spa breakfast, patisserie and savoury lunch dishes, with new additions including the delicious Artichoke, red pepper & Serrano ham salad, Seared Yellowfin tuna with cucumber, radish & coriander salad, along with a selection of lighter spa “tapas”.

The Verbena Spa at the Feversham Arms Hotel was launched in October 2008 after a £1.2 million investment. The country chic décor of The Feversham Arms is reflected throughout the spa, offering a relaxing, natural and English spa experience unlike the clinical feel of many existing spas. The unique style combined with great food makes the Verbena Spa a unique hideaway spa experience. With complimentary iced tea and book reading and relaxation areas, the Verbena Spa offers a cosy and relaxed atmosphere.

Facilities at the Spa include a Saunarium, Aromatherapy room, Salt vapour room, Monsoon shower, Ice cave, outdoor hot-tub & heated pool as well as the South-facing terrace spa garden, designed by Matthew Wilson. Elemis, Anne Sémonin and Jessica Nails are Verbena Spa’s product partners. Alternative therapies such as Neuro Structural Integration, Reconnective Therapy and Reiki are all within the treatment menu. The spa was awarded 5 bubbles from the Good Spa Guide.
