Sabre Wireless Access Through Sprint

Sprint PCS, the United States’ largest all-digital, all-PCS nationwide wireless network, Sabre and Travelocity have announced agreements that will provide wireless travel tools to Sprint PCS customers via their Sprint PCS Internet-ready Phones.
The agreement with Sabre links the Sabre Virtually There Web site to the Sprint PCS Wireless Web. Sprint PCS customers who have booked their travel through a Sabre Connected travel consultant will have instant and mobile access to their Virtually There travel itineraries, including flight details, gate information and weather forecasts—all on their Sprint PCS Internet-ready Phones. This easy-to-use service will alleviate calling an airline to check flight times and gate locations, and calling a hotel or car rental company to confirm a reservation. It also reduces the time spent waiting in lines at the airport or on hold for customer service representatives.
Under Travelocity`s agreement, Sabre/Travelocity is the first travel content provider in the “Travel” folder on the Wireless Web, and Travelocity is accessible through easy-to-use menu-driven selections. The service will enable Sprint PCS customers to book flights for more than 95 percent of airline seats sold and can even rebook an existing flight to an earlier or later time. Additionally, customers can review existing flight itineraries, locate airport and city codes, check flight status, review flight schedules for all major airlines and view the weather in all major U.S. cities. Sprint PCS customers will also be able to utilise Travelocity`s new wireless hotel booking feature, making it easy for them to locate and book a hotel in their chosen city via their Sprint PCS Internet-ready Phone.
