Etihad sponsors the F1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix

Abu Dhabi will be the ultimate destination for motorsport action this weekend, as the much-awaited 2012 Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix makes a welcome return to the UAE capital.

The event will be hosted at the ground-breaking Yas Marina Circuit.

F1 ticketholders are promised an unforgettable weekend of top-class motorsport and entertainment.

To kick-start proceedings, the crowds were enthralled by the visiting Australian V8 Supercar Championship, followed by the first two practices on Friday November 2nd. The third practice and qualifying round is today, while the final race on Sunday November 4th.

What’s more, there’s world-class entertainment on offer during the after-race concerts on each night, with this year’s performers including hip hop sensation Eminem, Australian superstar Kylie Minogue and Canadian rock band Nickelback.

Various events will be taking place at Abu Dhabi Corniche during the race weekend as part of Yasalam 2012, including the F1 FanZone brought to you by Aabar.

The world’s only official F1 FanZone will bring two weeks of motorsport-flavoured entertainment, such as interactive simulators, remote control car racing, driver signings, and live outdoor screenings of the big F1 races.

At the same time Beats on the Beach will offer free concerts from local and international artists as they showcase their talent.

Cut&Paste Abu Dhabi a unique ‘Live Design Battle’ event pitting some of the world’s most creative artists against each other, will also wow crowds.

A host of top-class hotels are also offering special rates for the event, while Etihad Airways is offering a series of special flights.

Etihad is considered the World’s Leading Airline by the World Travel Awards.
