Travelport signs global content agreement with bmi

Travelport has signed a continuation to its global content agreement with British Midland International (bmi).

Through the agreement, Travelport has ensured that its Galileo and Worldspan travel agency customers worldwide have continued access to the full published fares.

The agreement further continues Travelport’s successful strategy of securing full content programmes with airlines across the globe.

“We are delighted to have signed this agreement with bmi and to be able to guarantee continued content without a surcharge for such content for booking by all our travel agency customers,” said Robin Ranken, head of airline relationships for Europe.

He added: “This agreement will certainly sharpen our competitive edge and further illustrate our ability to work with our airline partners to reach a situation that is mutually beneficial.”

bmi parent Lufthansa is presently in the process of selling the carrier to rival British Airways.
