Seychelles Festival Kreol is a platform for young talents

“Moman Kreativite” is the Seychelles Festival Kreol activity in which primary, secondary, and post secondary students get the opportunity to display their artistic talents through music, songs, dance performances, storytelling, and drama among others.

After the eliminatory stage, only selected schools per categories were selected for the grand final which was held at the International Conference Centre of Seychelles in the presence of the Seychelles Minister for Education, Mrs. MacSuzy Mondon; the Principal Secretaries for Culture and Education, Miss Benjamine Rose and Mrs. Merida Delcy; Miss Seychelles; and other government officials.

Once again this year the Seychellois youngsters captivated the audience with a wide selection of artistic flamboyance leaving them both enthralled and eager for more. The stage decor also added to the ambiance providing an equally Creole and mythical setting befitting of the lively show showcasing suspense, tradition, magic, myth, and legendary and fictitious figures.

All participants participated in four categories namely short stories, mini dramas, songs, and contemporary dances. Three main prizes and a prize for best actor and actress were awarded per category with an overall grand prize for the school that had accumulated the most points.

“Moman Kreativite” remains an effective means of discovering new talents.
