Europcar, the leader in car hire services in Europe, is piloting an innovative new fast track service.
London Key Ready, which is being trialled at Europcar’s Kings Cross location in London, allows selected customers to collect their vehicle key from a locker and continue their journey directly without even having to go to the rental counter.
To use London Key Ready, the selected customers simply book their vehicle either via the Europcar website or call centre.
They are then emailed with a secure PIN which they use when they arrive at the branch to access the vehicle key and accompanying paperwork in a Key Ready locker.
They can then immediately go to collect their car from the Europcar car park.
This innovative solution is designed to reduce the time travellers usually spend waiting to collect the necessary paperwork and keys.
Key Ready customers can be on their way faster than ever, as Ken McCall, managing director, Europcar UK Group explained.
“We aim to provide customers with as efficient a service as possible for vehicle collection so that they can get on their way with their journey without delay.
“But London Key Ready takes this one step further, demonstrating our sustained commitment to providing travellers with highest level of convenience, choice and simplicity throughout their journey.”
McCall continued: “During the trial at our Kings Cross location, selected customers who may be arriving by train will be able walk the short distance to the branch to collect their vehicle key from the designated locker so that they can get on the road in minutes.
“London Key Ready meets our goal to provide today’s busy travellers with a constantly evolving range of services designed to meet their needs and make their journey easier.”
