Eras-Magdalena takes up new human resources leadership role with Belmond

Belmond has announced Ingrid Eras-Magdalena has been promoted to executive vice president, chief human resources officer, with the company.

Eras-Magdalena was formerly senior vice president, global human resources, and has been a member of the senior leadership team since joining Belmond in September 2014.

“Ingrid has brought a tremendous amount of expertise to our business, and can be credited with building and championing our people culture in her three short years with Belmond,” said Roeland Vos, president, Belmond.

“Our people are crucial to our business and the HR function will play a key role in the delivery of our strategic plan.

“Ingrid’s promotion recognises the huge value she brings to our organization as a partner, coach and leader.”

In her new role, Eras-Magdalena will continue to oversee the development of Belmond’s operational leaders, global HR team and company culture.

This will include further integrating the company’s values of ‘Care, Curiosity, Confidence and Community’, at a time when Belmond is experiencing exciting growth.

Prior to joining Belmond, Eras-Magdalena served as vice president, people development and staffing for Starwood Hotels’ Europe, Africa and Middle East division, a position she held since 2006.

Eras-Magdalena has over 20 years of human resources and leadership development experience in the hospitality industry, having held various positions at Starwood, and previously worked in operations for Le Meridien and Forte Hotels throughout Europe.

Eras-Magdalena will continue to be based at Belmond’s global head office, in London.
