Accor sees increase in revenue for third quarter

Accor has announced results for the third quarter of financial 2012, confirming revenue increased by 1.3 per cent to €1,485 million, despite unfavourable bases of comparison.

Solid third-quarter business levels overcame unfavourable calendar effects in several key European markets.

Nine-month revenue was up 0.3 per cent as reported and 2.8 per cent on a like-for-like basis.

Management and franchise fees were up 12.9 per cent in the third quarter, thanks to the fast development, with 26,400 rooms added over the first nine months of the year, 87 per cent of which under management and franchise contracts.

French hotel giant Accor confirmed 2012 targets of EBIT of €510 million to €530 million and a more than 35,000-unit increase in the room base.
