Thirty rescued from Thames Duck Boat fire

Thirty people have been rescued from a tourist vessel which caught fire as it sailed along the River Thames.

Passengers including visitors from UK, Brazil, Russia and Sweden jumped into the river from the London Duck Tours craft close to London Bridge.

All 28 the passengers and 2 crew were rescued by the emergency services and a passing tourist boat.

Three people were taken to hospital as a precautionary measure according to a spokesperson.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.

This is the third incident for the London Duck Tours group this year, which offers tourists the chance to view some of London’s famous tourist attractions.
