Seychelles targets budget travellers

The Seychelles Tourism Board has set its sights on boosting its budget traveller section as part of a programme of market diversification.

The authority is also aiming to encourage local businesses to capitalise on new opportunities in this new tourism development era.

This week’s push follows the launch of the new brand of tourism concept by the country’s President James Michel last year.

One wholly-owned concept falling into the new “affordable Seychelles” line is the Reef Holiday Apartment, situated at Anse Aux Pins on the main island of Mahe. It is owned and managed by Eugene Albert and his wife Juliana. They are not shy to compliment the affordable Seychelles concept, saying that this marketing option offers a new generation of travel for those who are “looking for a home away from home” at very affordable rates.

The Reef Holiday Apartment of Anse Aux Pins on the main island of Mahe also features the right vision that the Seychelles Tourism Board is advocating for this category of self catering/small guesthouse facilities with the Seychellois feel, touch, and ambience. “This is all part of the Seychelles brand … and what many of you are looking for,” said a representative of the island’s Tourism Board when discussing the island’s available accommodation network with the press.

The management of Reef Holiday Apartments is a new 22-room establishment that has recently been fully completed. They say that they are always ready to accommodate and welcome visitors with their Creole charm and flair. They offer a 24 hours a day/7 days a week service, and guests benefit from various services that are free of charge.
