Rixos Hotels, named Europe’s Leading Hotel Brand in 2011 by the World Travel Awards, is planning to open its Rixos The Palm Dubai hotel in March 2012, according to reports.

This year Rixos Hotels has been nominated in the category of World’s Leading Hotel Brand at the World Travel Awards Grand Final , set to take place tomorrow evening in Qatar.

The 204-room property, which was originally set to open in December, stretches over 10 acres and will combine leisure, business and holiday with family entertainment and activities, in addition to meeting facilities.

Adjacent to the hotel is a 112-apartment residence containing two and three-bed residences in addition to four and five-bed detached villas with gardens.

Hotel features will include the Rixos Royal Spa - a luxurious retreat offering total relaxation and rejuvenation, water rituals, massage therapies, body treatments and facials, influenced by ancient cultures from around the world, delivered in a warm ambience enhanced by gracious personal attention.

Rixos Royal Spa also features a fully equipped fitness center with personal trainers to provide expert guidance and a personally tailored exercise program.

Meanwhile Rixy Club is an exclusive club for families with children, providing entertainment programmes or babysitters.

The landmark opening of the Rixos Palm Dubai marks the group’s first foray into the Gulf.
