RAK Airways expands route network

UAE’s RAK Airways expanded its route network with the launch of two new services this week. The carrier, which now operates 11 routes, has revealed ambitious plans to reach 40 destinations by 2015. 

On 05 August the carrier launched its first flight carrying 150 passengers from Ras Al Khaimah to Islamabad, Pakistan.

Today the airline has launched Amman, Jordan, thus expanding its wings into the Levant region.

The launch flight was inaugurated with rose flowers by H.E. Sheikh Salem Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Director of Civil Aviation, Ras Al Khaimah and Vice Chairman of RAK Airways as well as Mr. Murabit Al Sawaf, President and CEO of the airline.

Mr. Murabit Al Sawaf, President and CEO of RAK Airways said, “Amman is our 11th destination and this is our first entry into the levant region.

“The demand from Northern Emirates is excellent and we have achieved a full launch flight. We look forward to welcome many more passengers onboard RAK Airways.” Al Sawaf added.

Ras Al Khaimah – Amman is four days a week and the departure is at 12:20 pm from Ras Al Khaimah International Airport.

The recent two launches of RAK Airways to two capitals – Islamabad and Amman marks the airline’s first two destination launches in 2013.

RAK Airways aims to reach 40 destinations by 2015.
