eNett International - a Travelport joint venture and a global provider of specialist payment solutions for the travel industry - today announced that PriceTravel has begun to use eNett Virtual Account Numbers (VANs) for travel supplier payments.

PriceTravel, Mexico’s innovative online and wholesale travel agency, is using eNett VANs to gain greater control and security over their supplier payments. “We are delighted to form an alliance between PriceTravel and eNett International. With this, we trust that our supplier payments will have the security and efficiency that distinguish both companies,” said Esteban Velàsquez, PriceTravel’s CEO.

Given onerous traditional invoicing processes and increasing demand from the global travel industry to utilise VANs, PriceTravel sought a partner to help them realise operational efficiencies while meeting industry requirements.  The payments provider had to be able to deliver a wide range of capabilities as well as provide speed to market, and eNett International exceeded expectations.  Implementation of eNett VANs was a fast and simple process. “Being part of an industry where the use of virtual card technology is becoming more common, we were looking for the best alternative payment solution in terms of expertise and reach across the industry,” said Esteban Velàsquez. “eNett’s travel industry specialisation and local expertise, as well as their ability to respond and deliver quickly for us, was what stood out for us,” he added.

Accepted through the MasterCard network, an eNett VAN is generated for every booking and guarantees payment.  For PriceTravel, the process is seamless - they are able to make bookings without any changes to existing processes because the VAN is generated automatically via an API with the eNett Payments Platform. Real time reporting is available immediately and booking data is included on the statement, making reconciliation seamless.
