Mantis adds two new resorts in Amakhala Game Reserve, South Africa

As Mantis strives to continue to offer in-the-know travellers the most exceptional properties and authentic experiences imaginable, the company is announcing a very exciting partnership with Bush Lodge and HillsNek, both located on Amakhala Game Reserve.

The resort is located in the malaria-free Eastern Cape of South Africa.

Bush Lodge is a five star Game Lodge nestled in the bush at the top of the vast open valley on the Amakhala Game Reserve.

The lodge offers en-suite; tented and thatched suits.

The open plan design of the tents invites the cooling breeze closer over the water, transporting all the authentic African sounds, tastes and smells right onto your doorstep.

Each unit features a private outdoor shower with magnificent views through the unit towards your own glimpse of the water hole.

A personal deck allows you to get lost in Africa while spoiling yourself with elite conveniences, such as opulent furniture and all the creature comforts you would expect from the best tented camps in the world.

HillsNek Safari Camp, a luxury tented safari lodge, washed with the warmth and colour of the afternoon sun, is situated on the banks of the Bushman’s river overlooking magnificent bushveld and African plains.

The lodge offers guests moments of relaxation and reflection on the tranquillity and intimacy afforded by this small camp.

With only four luxury tents, each with private facilities and romantic outdoor showers, the HillsNek experience promises privacy and personalized attention with each and every stay.

“Mantis is so thrilled to be back in the heart of the Eastern Cape’s wildlife region where our lives began with the conception of Shamwari Game Reserve all those years ago.

“Bush Lodge and HillsNek form part of the magnificent Amakhala Game Reserve, another award winning reserve located 40 minutes from Port Elizabeth – we are pleased to announce that these two lodges will be joining our growing Mantis portfolio,” commented Paul Gardiner, Mantis’ Group marketing director.
