Rocky Mountaineer has announced the recruitment of Steven Harris as business development manager, EMEA and India.

Harris joins Rocky Mountaineer from MSC Cruises where he worked for the past ten years in a variety of roles, most recently as national account manager.

In this role, Harris was instrumental in building and transforming trade relationships and significantly growing the business of MSC Cruises.

Prior to his time with MSC Cruises, Harris worked as regional sales and development manager for Thomas Cook, one of the world’s leading leisure travel groups.

He also has widespread retail experience having managed one of the most profitable MyTravel Retail stores within the Midlands region.

“With over 25 years of experience in the travel and tourism industry, Steven will bring extensive and invaluable expertise to the team at Rocky Mountaineer by leveraging his existing trade relationships in the cruise, tour operator and wholesales channels to expand our reach across the region,” said Patrick Ryan, managing director, sales – EMEA and India.

Harris joins the world’s largest privately-owned luxury tourist train on May 1st.
