Simon Foster has been promoted to deputy managing director for Unique Vacations UK, representatives for Sandals and Beaches Resorts in the UK and Europe.

Foster will also be deputy managing director for Sandals’ and Beaches’ tour operator which launched earlier this year, Unique Caribbean Holidays, following his previous position as director of market development.

Managing director of Sandals and Beaches Resorts, UK & Europe, Karl Thompson, said: “Our business has changed dramatically since Simon joined us seven years ago and it is thanks to his drive and experience that we are now flourishing as both a fully-fledged tour operator (Unique Caribbean Holidays) and as a sales and marketing representation company (Unique Vacations UK).

“As our business continues to evolve we need people like Simon who can demonstrate both imagination and perseverance to fulfil our goals.

“Simon’s in-depth knowledge of the aviation and travel sector is second to none and his commercial acumen places him in high esteem within the industry.”

Foster will continue to work closely with Thompson to build and grow relationships for the business via trade partners, airlines and tour operators, while continuing to head up the company’s growing commercial team at the head office in London.
