The Seychelles Tourism Board has confirmed that the dates for the 2013 Carnaval International de Victori,a which is staged annually in the Seychelles, are February 8-10, 2013.

Alain St.Ange of the Seychelles Tourism Board and Pascal Viroleau of the IRT of La Reunion stood together on the stage for the closing ceremony of the 2012 edition of the carnival, when they announced the dates for the 2013 edition of the carnival that has now become a fixture on the calendar of important events in the world.

The last edition of this carnival, which ended only last weekend, was deemed a huge success by all who had descended on Seychelles. The carnival of the Indian Ocean Vanilla Islands was this year co-hosted jointly by Seychelles and La Reunion, and both islands have declared that the event was a success.

Elsia Grandcourt, the new CEO of the Seychelles Tourism Board, said yesterday in Berlin that work has already started on the 2013 edition of that unique carnival, which is now set to attract more and more foreign participants year after year.

“This carnival remains the only carnival where the best and most known carnivals parade side by side, followed by cultural groups from the Community of Nations. This is why our carnival remains unique, because it is a carnival where the world parades together,” Elsia Grandcourt said.
