Days Inns Public Relations Awarded Bronze Anvil Certificate Of Commendation

Days Inns Public Relations has won the 2001 Bronze Anvil Certificate of Commendation for its publicity guide called How Good Stories Become Great News under the category “Special Purpose Publication (Newsletters or Booklets)” Other winners in this category included Nike, Inc., Bristol-Myers Squibb Company, the U.S. Census Bureau, University of Austin, Texas and Morgan & Myers/The Barkin Group. The winners were announced Thursday, June 14.


Winners of the 2001 Bronze Anvil Awards were announced for the best tactical solutions to public relations challenges. In addition to the 39 Bronze Anvil winners, 63 organizations earned Bronze Anvil Awards of Commendation.


This is the second award earned by the Days Inns PR team for its publicity guide. It recently received the Golden Bell Public Relations Silver Merit Award presented by the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International. David Jimenez, Days Inns Public Relations Manager, and Nicole Alberti, Days Inns Public Relations Specialists, wrote the 12-page guide.


The Bronze Anvil Award and Silver Anvil are the most prestigious awards for the public relations industry. The winners are selected by judging panels comprised of 109 senior level public relations practitioners. The winners were chosen from a record of 1,330 entries. The awards are sponsored by PRSA - Public Relations Society of America. With over 20,000 members, PRSA is the nation`s largest association for public relations professionals.
