6Continents Names New VP Corporate Communications

ATLANTA (September 6, 2002) - Six Continents Hotels, Inc. (www.6C.com), the world’s leading hotel group, has named Francie Schulwolf vice president of corporate communications.

In her new role, Schulwolf will be responsible for all the public relations and corporate communications for Six Continents Hotels (SCH) and its portfolio of brands including Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Staybridge Suites by Holiday Inn, Inter-Continental and Crowne Plaza hotels and resorts for the Americas region. “Francie’s broad experience across our business will be instrumental in further leveraging brand public relations and corporate communications for Six Continents Hotels,” said Vicki Gordon, senior vice president of corporate affairs. “She is a proven leader with just the skills we need to deliver outstanding communications to all our stakeholders,” added Gordon.
Schulwolf joined Six Continents Hotels in 1992 as Manager of Advertising for the Americas. Throughout her tenure with the company, Schulwolf has also worked as Director of Advertising for Holiday Inn hotels, Director of Marketing for Holiday Inn hotels, Director of Executive Projects for the Midscale Hotel Group and Director of Brand Communications.
Prior to joining Six Continents Hotels, Schulwolf worked at several Atlanta advertising agencies including Fitzgerald & Company, Inc. and Fahlgren Martin, Inc.
Schulwolf earned her Bachelor of Arts from The University of Alabama. A native of Montgomery, Ala., she currently resides in Atlanta, Ga., with her husband and two daughters.
