bmibaby Selects Galileo International as its Preferred Partner

Tony Davis announces partnership to trade at ABTA
Travel agents to use system this month


Tony Davis, managing director of bmibaby, spoke to trade at the ABTA conference in Cairo on 21st October to announce that the UK`s fastest growing low cost airline has signed a letter of intent with Galileo International, a leading provider of electronic global distribution services for the travel industry.

has selected Galileo International

as its preferred partner for distribution and reservation processing. All key routes from East Midlands Airport will be available to be booked on Galileo from 27 October, with the remaining network availability coming on line by mid December.

The announcement further extends the commitment to the travel trade by bmibaby offering, unlike many low cost operators, the flexibility to book through a variety of booking systems including GDS with which which agents are more familiar.


Tony Davis, managing director for bmibaby said:


“bmibaby is determined to be the UK`s quality low cost airline and as part of that commitment we will work with the travel trade to sell our product. We are negotiating with Galileo to allow over 45,000 agents worldwide, direct real time access to bmibaby`s entire network of over 300,000 seats a month.”
