Continental Reinstates Texas Routes

HOUSTON, June 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/—Continental Airlines (NYSE: CAL) today announced that it is reinstating several routes in Texas that were suspended in the fall of 2001. SkyWest Airlines has been designated as a “Continental Connection” airline and will operate the flights on behalf of Continental using 30-seat EMB-120 aircraft.
The reinstated service from Continental`s hub at Houston Bush Intercontinental Airport includes:
Waco Regional Airport       // Tyler Pounds Regional Airport // Abilene Regional Airport // San Angelo/Mathis Field
The Continental Connection flights provide competition for existing flights to DFW, which is the only commercial service currently available at each airport.
