LOT Awarded For The Third Time

For the third time LOT Polish Airlines has received the title of Best Eastern European Airline 2000 from the readers of the prestigious monthly, Business Traveller.

The Business Traveller is a worldwide publication with an English, American, German and Asian edition published in Hong Kong. Each month the magazine includes a questionnaire in which readers evaluate airlines, airports, hotels and car rental companies. Airline award categories include Best Airline, Best Airline for Business Class Travel, Best Airline for Economy Class Travel, Best Long-, Medium- and Short-haul Airline, Best North American Airline, Best Eastern European Airline and Best Frequent Flyer Programme. The questionnaires are analyzed by ORCI (Opinion Research Corporation International), an independent consumer opinion research center.

Business Traveller has been awarding airlines for over 20 years. A new category was added in 1998 due to the increasing popularity of Eastern European flights. That was the year when LOT first received the Best Eastern European Airline Award.

Readers evaluating airlines paid special attention to in-flight service, professionalism of service, promptness, quality of meals etc. LOT best met these expectations among other numerous carriers.

The award will be handed out on October 18, 2000 in Dorchester Hotel. Jan Litwinski, President & CEO, received the award on behalf of LOT Polish Airlines.
