America West Airlines (NYSE: AWA) today
announced it has been advised that Trans World Airlines has exercised it right
to terminate a codeshare agreement between the two airlines.
 
America West and TWA announced the codeshare alliance last November.
Under the agreement, each airline was to begin accepting bookings during the
first quarter of 2001 on certain flights operated by the other carrier, but
implementation was delayed following the commencement of TWA`s bankruptcy
preceding.
