Days Inns Worldwide Inc. Signs Master Agreement To Market Days Inn Name In Saudi Arabia

Days Inns Worldwide Inc., in its ongoing initiative to franchise the Days Inn name internationally, has added Saudi Arabia to a list that now totals 31 overseas license agreements.

The new licensee, Global V Hospitality, a hotel management and franchising company owned by Mohamed Awad and based in Cairo, Egypt, agreed to open at least 700 guest rooms in Saudi Arabia during the next five years. The first hotel likely will be in Riyadh.

“Days Inns continues its aggressive approach to international expansion, as is evident by the signing of our 31st international agreement,” said Joe Kane, Days Inns Worldwide president & chief executive officer. “Saudi Arabia soon will join our other international locations by offering high-quality lodging at affordable prices to value-conscious travelers worldwide.”

Mohamed Awad also recently signed a master license agreement to market the Days Inn brand in Egypt. The first hotel in that country is scheduled to open this month in Sharm El Sheikh, a popular tourist destination on the Red Sea.
