Air Canada is introducing two new daily codeshare services between Canada and Helsinki, Finland with its Star Alliance partners, SAS and Lufthansa.
Effective June 10, 1999, Air Canada and SAS launched codeshare service on five flights a week between Canada and Helsinki via Copenhagen. Effective June 15, Air Canada and Lufthansa will launch daily codeshare service between Canada and Helsinki via Frankfurt.
“We`re delighted to expand further our Canada-Europe network with convenient codeshare flights to Helsinki,” said Danielle Poudrette, Vice President, Marketing, Air Canada. “With this service, Air Canada and our Star Alliance partners, SAS and Lufthansa, now offer customers a wider choice of flights and the option of using Copenhagen or Frankfurt as convenient hubs for travellers between North America and Europe.”
Air Canada flights between Toronto and Copenhagen will provide convenient connections for passengers travelling to and from Helsinki via SAS. Similarly, Air Canada`s daily flights between Toronto/Montreal/Calgary/Vancouver and Frankfurt will offer conveniently-timed flights for customers connecting to and from Helsinki via Lufthansa. The new codeshare services offer customers a wide range of advantages including: accumulation and redemption of Aeroplan frequent flyer points, advance seat selection and business class seating.
