1st Internet Travel Partnership in China

China Southern Airlines ), the largest airline in The People’s Republic of China is pleased to announce the Internet launch of Et-China.com >), an all-new e-commerce travel web-site offering online ticket reservation and ticketing to corporate, leisure travelers and travel agents throughout China.


Et-China.com is the first online travel site that is in strategic partnership with a major airline and a major financial institution in China.


Et-China.com is jointly owned and operated by Et-China.com Investments Pty Limited, an Australia e-commerce investment company and China Southern Airlines. China Construction Bank (CCB), through its Guangdong branch, will provide secured online banking and credit card services to Et-China.com customers.


Et-China.com provides online domestic (China) and international air travel booking and ticketing, travel and hotel package reservations, as well travel-related information such as weather, city maps, etc. Et-China.com offers real time flight and departure information at Baiyun International
Airport in Guangzhou, individual seat selection and meal selection on all China Southern Airlines’ flights as well as luggage and cargo information
In addition to electronic airline ticketing, Et-China.com plans to offer additional online booking services such as e-rail ticketing, e-hotel reservations and booking, as well offering on-line newspaper/magazine subscription services and special event tickets (concerts, movies).


China Construction Bank will market Et-China.com services to all its three million Dragon Card customers throughout Guangdong Province.
Et-China.com offers a convenient, secure, reliable and seamless service to the growing Internet user population in China that increased from 2.2 million in 1998 to nearly seven million in 1999.
