Booking.com opens Greek office

Booking.com has announced the opening of an office in Greece bringing the total of the company’s international offices to 20. Based in Athens, the team will focus on dedicated hotel account management services.

The choice to open a local office results from a high customer demand from both foreign markets as well as the local market in Greece. With more than 1,300 directly contracted hotels, the new office gives Booking.com the perfect opportunity to further develop their relationships with hotels and partners in the region.

Nikos Stathatos, Manager Booking.com Greece, stated: “We believe that as the market leader in Greece, we not only have to provide hoteliers the tools and insight to increase their sales, but also to make it as easy as possible for customers to book a hotel in the region through our extensive internet presence. The strong growth in Greece and Cyprus has enabled us to open an office in Athens and increase the amount of members of the team, in order to sustain even closer bonds with the hoteliers.” Nikos Stathatos, who will be supported by a local team of account managers, has gained 5 years of experience at the Booking.com headquarters in Amsterdam.

With more than 20 million online visitors each month to the website, and hundreds of staff members throughout the world dedicated to working with hotel partners in local markets, Booking.com is the European leader in online hotel reservations.
