Sheraton Orlando Downtown opens

The former Radisson in downtown Orlando has begun operating under the Sheraton flag having undergone a total renovation that positions the landmark hotel as a vibrant symbol of downtown Orlando’s growth and redevelopment. The hotel’s $12.4 million renovation is designed to accommodate business travelers with the upscale contemporary style and amenities they expect.

Sheraton Orlando Downtown features 20,000-square feet of meeting and banquet space - which includes 18 flexible meeting rooms - positioning it as the premier meeting facility in the downtown Orlando market.

Its 341 guest rooms include 27 suites, and are appointed with all-new luxury-level furnishings, carpeting, wallcoverings, window treatments and décor. Every room includes Sheraton Sleeper bedding, while high-speed wireless (WiFi) data ports keep business travelers conveniently connected.

Other amenities include a health club and valet parking. The hotel’s existing rooftop heated pool has been completely surrounded with tropical landscaping to create the look and feel of an exotic island.

Adding to downtown’s fine dining scene is the hotel’s exclusive restaurant, Sixty South Bar & Trattoria, “The place where Northern Italy meets Central Florida.” Featuring the culinary expertise of Executive Chef Jose Otero, Sixty South Bar & Trattoria serves its contemporary Italian fare in an invitingly stylish, urban setting. Starbucks Coffee is located in the lobby for all of downtown to enjoy.
