A new Comfort Suites hotel is now open at 102 Ballardvale Drive. Owned and operated by CHA Butson White River Junction LLC of White River Junction, Vt., the hotel is the first Comfort Suites hotel in Vermont to feature a 100 percent smoke-free environment. The Comfort Suites hotel features 68 suites with king- or queen-size beds. All suites feature a microwave, refrigerator, pull-out sofa bed, remote control cable television with HBO, voicemail, work desk with ergonomic chair, free high-speed Internet access, iron, ironing board, hair dryer and coffeemaker.

Three-room executive suites feature a separate bedroom, living room and dining area with additional amenities including a wet bar, fireplace and whirlpool tub. Handicapped and non-smoking rooms also are available.

The three-story hotel features a heated indoor pool, fitness center equipped with a treadmill, stationary bike and elliptical cross-trainer, 1,470 square-feet of meeting space, business center equipped with computer with high-speed Internet access, printer, copier and fax machine, and breakfast area that seats up to 30 individuals.

Rates begin at $119. Children, ages 18 and under, stay free when accompanied by an adult.

Discounts are available when booked in advance on a space-available basis for seniors, American Automobile Association members, business travelers, government and military personnel and groups.

Guests of the Comfort Suites hotel receive a complimentary morning newspaper, free local telephone calls and complimentary deluxe continental breakfast consisting of Belgian waffles, assorted bagels, muffins, Danish, breads, hot and cold cereals, fresh fruit, coffee, tea and juices.

The Comfort Suites hotel is conveniently located to several nearby attractions including Dartmouth College, Quechee Gorge, Village of Woodstock, Hood Museum of Art, Ascutnet Ski Mountain and Killington Ski Mountain.
