Following a major investment programme, the St. Andrews Golf Resort & Spa has now completed installation of Scotland`s very first Vichy shower spa experience.

The professional spa shower, which consists of seven shower heads positioned above a long table for clients to relax on during treatments, is being incorporated into therapies such as salt glows and body scrubs, wraps, and massages. The powerful shower heads can also be adjusted from a fine, misty fall simulating tropical rain to a much more pressurised water massage.
Following a joint investment, the Spa at the Old Course Hotel and US-based skincare line, Pevonia Botanica, the world’s leading professional face, body and spa care line, are set to provide both local clientele and resort guests with an added dimension to the spa experience.
Along with the Thalgo whirlpool bath, the addition of the Vichy shower allows the spa to offer the complete benefits of hydrotherapy. By adding water algae or sea salts (which have the same composition as the body`s intestinal fluids) that are absorbed by the body during the treatment, hydrotherapy can also support the body`s natural balance of minerals.
