Barbados to welcome new Condor Munich flight this winter

The team at Barbados Tourism Marketing has confirmed Condor Airlines will launch a new service to the destination this winter 2016.

The new Saturday flight, from of Munich, Germany, will bring the number of weekly services to the island to three. 

Condor Airlines, part of the Thomas Cook Group Airlines currently operates flights out of Frankfurt on Tuesdays and Thursdays and Thomas Cook Airlines UK operates three flights per week out of Manchester, UK on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.

The new Munich service, which will be operated every Saturday effective November 12th, 2016, guarantees better access for visitors from Germany’s wealthiest regions and Austria, Northern Italy as well as Switzerland.

Munich Airport as Germany’s second largest hub is also connected with a wide feeder network that connects travellers from all over Europe to Barbados now.

Barbados Tourism Marketing chief executive William Griffith shared his positive outlook for the local tourism sector following this new development.

He said: “Good airlift is the backbone of any tourism sector and we continue to have great relationships with our airline partners.”
