Air Europa adds Puerto Rico route

Air Europa has announced the launch of a new route to San Juan, Puerto Rico. From the 22nd May 2014, the airline will fly twice weekly to the Caribbean Island, from London Gatwick via Madrid Barajas.

UK passengers to Puerto Rico will now be able to benefit from Air Europa’s quick connections, backed up by 25 years’ history and one of the world’s most modern fleet of aircraft.

Flights are projected for Thursdays and Sundays, departing Madrid at 13:30hs and arriving in San Juan at 22:05hs, with return flights departing at 00:35 and arriving in Madrid at 08:45. All times are UTC and subject to confirmation.

Colin Stewart, UK General Manager for Air Europa, says: “San Juan is another exciting addition to our ever expanding long-haul portfolio”.

“In June we launched flights from London via Madrid to Montevideo, and from December the 16th we will fly to Sao Paulo. This latest addition further underlines Air Europa’s status as the UK’s gateway to Latin America and the Spanish Caribbean,” adds Colin.

San Juan is considered a global city. It is renowned not just for its golden beaches, Caribbean seas, cruises, and luxurious neighbouring resorts, but also as a cultural and business capital for the region. Puerto Rico is an important host of conferences, with many hotels and centre’s providing some of the Caribbean’s best services.
