Rendezvous, an idyllic and intimate Caribbean hideaway designed exclusively for couples, has announced a $12.5 million renovation. The plan unveils significant interior design updates to its Seaside Suites and Verandah Suites, including brand new bathrooms, room layouts, furniture and colour schemes, as well as the addition of an á la carte beachside restaurant, Malabar.
The Saint Lucia Tourist Board has seen a strong start to 2015, with UK operators and agents reporting good bookings to the end of February. This comes against a backdrop of the highest total number of arrivals in the island’s history recorded for the month of January at 31,541, up 14 per cent on 2014. Aiming to help drive sales, an integrated campaign ran during January and February, raising awareness along five themes including Beach Lover, Nature Explorer, Active Families, Luxury Traveller and Weddings & Honeymoons.

Delta Air Lines is adding a non-stop service from New York’s JFK International Airport to Saint Lucia’s Hewanorra International Airport. Commencing December 20th 2014, the weekly service will operate every Saturday throughout the year.

United Airlines has launched weekly non-stop service to St. Lucia from its New York hub at Newark Liberty International Airport. The flights will operate using Boeing 737-800 aircraft, with 16 United Business seats, 48 United Economy Plus seats and 90 United Economy seats.
